PSBB in Sidoarjo

   Curently, like other areas affected by COVID-19, in Sidoarjo there is a reprimand against violators of the rules set by the governor and regent. 2 3 days in the future, PSBB will be tightened by security forces, Sidoarjo Regional Police and related agencies

 

    In Sidoarjo, 16 checkpoints have been built out of the 20 planned. Checkpoint locations are scattered in the border area with Surabaya and other areas around Sidoarjo. In Sidoarjo, there were also time limits for activities starting at 9 pm to 4 am. at this time you you can't go outside the house.

 

   The rules  PSBB in Sidoarjo include:
1. Online motorcycle taxis cannot carry passengers, only carry goods. Two-wheeled vehicles can only carry 2 people if they can show that they live in one house
2. 4-wheeled vehicles and so on can only carry 50% of the maximum passenger capacity.
3. All people who go out of the house must wear a mask.





    Last Thursday night the Sidoarjo city government informed and socialized PSBB to all districts. It is hoped that this will quickly convey PSBB information to the public. and can break the chain of the spread of COVID-19





So the conclusion is that because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sidoarjo Regency Government will strengthen the PSBB in its area by building checkpoints that will be guarded by security forces since 2 days after this news aired

    Hey, i have some question why is it only now being applied in Sidoarjo ? Isn't corona been in Indonesia since the beginning of the year?

    Hi unknown, thanks for the question. as we know that in Indonesia, mayors cannot make decisions without permission from the central government or the president. so decisions in the regions must be approved by the president and can be implemented. it could be that the government sees the condition in Sidoarjo has only recently increased cases of corona and has only been able to apply the PSBB.
