Descriptive text is a type of text that describes a certain person, object or place so that the reader can imagine as if what is being told is real. The purpose of descriptive text is to describe and reveal or describe the characteristics of people, objects, animals, places and others. Desciptive text is made without doing detailed research, so the writer only writes descriptive text based on what is seen and heard.

Structur of Descriptive Text

    1. Opening: Contains a general introduction to the object to be described.
    2. Description: Description contains an explanation / depiction of something, both living things and inanimate objects, by mentioning several descriptions, characteristics, characters, or anything related to the description of something in question.

Example

Maimun Palace

Maimun Palace is a legacy of the Deli Kingdom. Founded by Sultan Maimun Al Rasyid Perkasa Alamsyah who was the descendant of the 9th king of the Deli Sultanate. This palace was built on August 26, 1888 and was inaugurated on May 18, 1891.

This Maimun palace building is a historical building which is proof of the existence of the deli kingdom in Medan

The yellow color that dominates the Maimun Palace symbolizes the Malay color, as well as the greatness of the Deli Kingdom in North Sumatra. Meanwhile, European influences can be seen from the ornament of lamps, chairs, tables, cabinets, to the sliding doors. One more thing, the shape of the doors and windows is wide like buildings in Europe.

The influence of Islam can be seen from the arc shape (arcade) on the roof that resembles an inverted boat (Persian curve) which is usually found in buildings in the East Central region. Until now, Maimun Palace is still well preserved.

The Maimun Palace building faces east which consists of two floors with three parts, namely the main building, the left wing and the right wing. Maimun Palace has an area of 2,772 square meters and 30 rooms.

    1. Thanks !!! ^^

Maimun palace is historical place because it is a proof of the existence of the deli kingdom. and because of its old age "this place was built on August 26, 1888 and was inaugurated on May 18, 1891".

So these two reasons make the maimun palace a historic place
